MOOSE HUNTS |
Newfoundland's forest teams with wildlife and the majestic Moose, the Eastern North American Race, now roams the province with numbers exceeding 120,000. Area 39 boasts one of the most dense populations as well as larger antler size. Two pair of Moose were introduced into the Province in 1904 and it is now one of the most densely populated areas in the world. The average antler size, in our area, is 36-40 inches and we take some in the 40-50 inch range. Overall success since 1993 is 95%.
