Idaho spring bear hunting always proves to be second to none. The season opens April 15, and closes June15. We choose to hunt these bears during the month of May and into June, after the bears have come out of hibernation. There is an abundant population of the color-phased black bear in our hunting area. These beautiful bears range in colors from black, chocolate, brown, red, cinnamon and blonde. Many of these bears also have white chest markings. About 70% of the bears we harvest are color-phase. Our spring bears have absolutely beautiful hides, are often thicker and rarely rubbed. These bears average 175-200 lbs in weight. Don't let the weight fool you-we have killed 200-pound bears that easily made Pope & Young.

The Outfitter accesses this camp by 4WD trucks. We hunt from wall tents, outfitted with cots and foam mattresses for your comfort. The views from camp are amazing and you will be pleased to know that there are no black flies or mosquitoes! These hunts are conducted over well-placed bait sites. You are welcome to bring the weapon of your choice. With this Idaho hunting outfitter, success on spring bear hunts are 100% shot opportunity. We set up tree stands for our archery hunters, with perfect shooting lanes. The owner, and/or his guides will always be present during your hunt.
